Associate Membership

Individual who have a diploma in a related discipline and have practiced in a full time capacity capacity for a minimum of 12 months and have satisfied the Membership panel of their general interest and abilities to perform to the minimum standards required by the Executive Committee.

Can demonstrate current and continuous membership at associate level within an equivalent association and have satisfied the membership panel of their general interest and abilities to perform to the minimum standards required by the society.

CORPORATE MEMBER (CIDC)

Corporate membership is opened to registered businesses, institutions or manufacturers who play an active part in the Interior Design Industry through the provision of goods and services.

Application for Corporate membership shall be considered and approved by the Executive Committee. The eligible categories of organisations shall include:

CIDC-P: Design and architectural companies providing bona fide consultancy services
CIDC-C: Contractors and sub-contractors involved in the construction of interior environments
CIDC-M: Manufacturers and developers of products and services
CIDC-S: Agencies, suppliers and distributors
CIDC-I: Institution of learning

FELLOW MEMBER (FIDC)

Candidates for Fellowship shall have served a minimum of 3 terms as Executive Committee and have made a significant contribution to the industry through his/her dedication and leadership. An application to Fellow is requisitioned by the Executive Committee and shall only be approved by 4/5 Executive Committee Members’ acceptance

FULL PROFESSIONAL MEMBER (PIDC)

Individual who have attained a professional qualification in interior or closely related discipline, have practice in a professional capacity for a minimum of 1 year and in addition have satisfied the Executive Committee of their professionalism and capability.

Have attained a diploma in a related discipline and have practiced in a professional capacity for a minimum of 3 years and in addition have satisfied the Executive Committee of their professionalism and capability.

Can demonstrate current and continuous membership at associate level within an equivalent association for a minimum period of 5 years and in addition have satisfied the Executive Committee of their professionalism and capability.

Student Membership

Student Membership is available to individuals who is currently attending a 3-year full time diploma programme or its equivalent in an accredited institution in spatial design, architecture or a closely related discipline;

At the time of application their student status must be current and that their student status-ship must be endorsed by their current accredited institution.

Student Members shall have not voting rights and shall not be eligible to hold office in the Committee.
