JONATHAN HO
Lecturer, SIngapore Polytechnic
Jonathan Ho graduated with Bachelor of Arts (Interior Design) from RMIT University in 1999, taught in Singapore Polytechnic Design School, Diploma in Interior Design since 2005. He believes in the power of good Interior Designs that will bring about betterment of our living conditions. With deep interest in visualization and construction technologies, Jonathan has always been exploring technologies that will push the boundaries of Interior Design visualization and documentation. It is because of this, Jonathan has been teaching in modules related to Computer Aided Designs, 3D Visualizations and Building Information Modelling for more than a decade.

SEMINAR 2: DESIGN FOR TRANSFORMATION

Low Cheaw Hwei is Head of Design for Philips in Asia and Head of Government and Public Affairs for Philips in Singapore. Currently on the Philips ASEAN Pacific management team, Cheaw Hwei looks after the overall direction of Philips Design in the region, leading the company through a design transformation, as Philips – a leader in healthcare technology – moves towards experience and solutions based innovation. His second role brings synergy in driving both Design and Innovation initiatives into the work that Philips does in Singapore.

LOW CHEAW HWEI
Head of Design of Philips Asia
Having held various creative and management roles in the Netherlands, Hong Kong and Singapore, Cheaw Hwei has led Philips Design in design management, and creative and brand design strategy. At Philips, Cheaw Hwei held top design roles as Chief Design Officer for Philips TV and Audio-Video, and Global Creative Director for Philips Consumer Lifestyle. A respected industry veteran, Cheaw Hwei has served as board member for various design platforms such as the Design Singapore Council, and judged at international competitions. He is also a frequent speaker at international design forums and was recently awarded the Public Service Medal for his contribution to design education.
